How to use Velcro Rollers

 Looking for glamorous, full, shiny hair, but having trouble finishing your look with a brush and blow dryer? Velcro rollers are easy to use, cheap and create an amazing finished style.  Here are some easy tips for how to use velcro rollers.1. Invest in a box of pin curl clips Soft 'N Style Boxed Pin Curl Clips, 80 Per Box to secure the roller neatly at the base.  Although the rollers are velcro, you need to anchor them firmly to really get results.2.  Start with freshly blow dried hair.  Use a product like Mousse Densifique Kerastase Densifique Densimorphose Thickening Treatment Mousse, 5.09 Ounce  by Kerastase for hold.  If you have no product in your hair, your style will fade away in minutes.3.  I usually give my hair a quick shot of hairspray all over before I begin to give it a bit more hold.  My favorite hairspray?  Lacque Couture by Kerastase Kerastase Laque Couture Micro Mist Fixing Medium Hold Hair Spray, 5 Ounce .  Spray evenly throughout the hair before you begin.4.  Take a section of hair (don't overdo it with section size, the neater your hair looks when fully wrapped in rollers, the better the result) and comb or brush it smooth.  Make sure that you are holding the section taut so there is no slack.  If you are looking for volume, be sure to hold the hair up and away from your hear while you are putting in the roller UrbHome Large Hair Rollers, Self Grip, Salon Hairdressing Curlers,Large,(Colors May Vary) ,12 Pack .  If you put in a roller while the root is flat against your head guess what result you'll get?  Flat hair!5.  Always start wrapping from the ends, and make sure that the ends of your hair are lying smoothly on the end of the roller.  If you don't roll the ends smoothly they'll look messy and frazzled like a wrinkled shirt.  Take the extra second to ensure your hair will look polished.6.  Roll all the way to the root and secure at the base with a pin-curl clip.  I personally like to put the rollers on the top of my head  (think mohawk area) rolled towards the back, and the rollers on the side directed down.  You can experiment with different directions to find your favorite.7.  After securing the last roller, lightly spray the rollers with hairspray, then take a dryer with a diffuser  BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Universal Finger Diffuser  (or use the low air setting on a normal dryer) and use it the heat up the rollers.  The goal her is simply to take any remaining moisture out of your hair, and set the style.  It doesn't need to be extremely hot, and be sure to keep the dryer a safe distance from your hair.8.  Leave the rollers in for 5-10 minutes (or longer if you have the time) until they are cool.9.  Remove the clips and gently pull out the velcro roller.  Hint: hold the hair taut as you remove them.  If you hold the hair too loosely they can be trickier to remove.10.  Gently comb your hair out with your fingers, and leave it this way, or style as desired.Velcro rollers are a great tool for ridding your hair of unwanted frizz, and increasing volume.  Although the steps may seem daunting at first, once you use the 2 or 3 times it will become second nature, and much faster than trying to perfect your blowdry with a round brush and blow dryer alone!Just a thought.Megan
